On the afternoon of November 6, 2023, the grand auditorium on the fifth floor of the Zhijiang Hotel in Hangzhou was brilliantly lit and packed to capacity, exuding an atmosphere of solemnity and enthusiasm. The series of events for the “2023 Zhejiang Province Entrepreneurs’ Day” was held here. Vice Governor Ke Jixin delivered an important speech, congratulating the winners of the 22nd Zhejiang Province Outstanding Entrepreneur Award and encouraging them to continue upholding the entrepreneurial spirit and striving for even greater achievements.

At 13:20, outstanding entrepreneurs from across the province who had been honored as the 22nd Zhejiang Province’s Outstanding Entrepreneurs—wearing sashes and adorned with medals—posed for a group photo with provincial leaders including Vice Governor Ke Jixin. Li Yongshui, Chairman of Yongning’er Group Co., Ltd., became the sole outstanding entrepreneur selected from the Zhejiang Textile Industry Association.

It is reported that the 51 outstanding entrepreneurs honored in this session come from various industries across the province, including companies listed among China's Top 500, Zhejiang Province's Top 100, and enterprises that have demonstrated remarkable achievements in driving high-quality development within their respective industries. After undergoing industry nominations and evaluations, on-site inspections by the provincial selection committee, repeated screenings, rigorous reviews, and public announcements through media channels, these entrepreneurs have finally made the list—truly a gathering of industry giants and leaders.

The “2023 Zhejiang Province Entrepreneurs’ Day” was held at the Zhijiang Hotel in Hangzhou, where Chairman Li Yongshui took his seat among the distinguished entrepreneurs.

In May 1990, Li Yongshui started his business with a capital of 15,000 yuan and six employees. With the perseverance, courage, and wisdom characteristic of Zhejiang entrepreneurs, he led his team through countless hardships, painstakingly forging ahead on a path fraught with challenges, yet remaining steadfast in his pursuit of dreams. Under his leadership, the company has grown from a small workshop specializing solely in network silk processing to today’s thriving textile industry cluster, boasting 6,526 looms and operating a fully integrated production system that spans the entire textile value chain—from raw material procurement and pre-processing to weaving, dyeing, and finishing. Its flagship products—four-way stretch fabric, blackout fabric, and bonded interlining—have all entered the top three market shares nationwide in their respective sectors. Today, the Yongning’er Group has evolved into a modern private enterprise group centered around the textile industry, with diversified operations spanning chemical fiber raw materials, chemical fiber weaving, home textile fabrics, medical textile care products, and other related areas along the textile value chain, seamlessly integrating industry, trade, and technology.

Li Yongshui has made pioneering contributions to promoting the high-quality development of the traditional textile industry by strengthening existing chains, extending new chains, filling gaps in the chain, and reinforcing weak links.

Li Yongshui has earned the respect of his peers through his dedication, focus, and unwavering commitment—having devoted more than thirty years to just one single endeavor. He continuously pursues self-improvement and advancement, rising from humble beginnings to earning a doctorate in business administration. The story of how he led his team to entrepreneurial success and ongoing growth is also a testament to how knowledge can transform one’s destiny, shape the future, and build a thriving career.

He is undaunted by difficulties and unwavering in his commitment. Relying on extraordinary perseverance and resilience, and drawing on the company’s own strength, he has successively repaid an additional 215 million yuan in debt incurred when six guarantee companies went bankrupt due to poor management. In doing so, he successfully averted the risk of a funding-chain rupture that would have threatened the very survival of the enterprise, enabling the company to make a remarkable turnaround—from “falling into a deep slump” to “restarting and rising again.” This journey has driven the company’s transformation and upgrading, gradually leading it to a path of sustained and prosperous development, thereby highlighting the entrepreneur’s sense of responsibility and the outstanding spirit of Zhejiang entrepreneurs.

He promotes “industry-academia-research” collaboration across the entire value chain—from raw materials and weaving to finishing. He has established a “second boss” management model for professional managers, which has boosted the company’s operational vitality. He regards corporate culture as the “soul” of the enterprise, laying down a valuable cultural “genetic code” that has paved the way for the company’s entrepreneurial success and its transition toward large-scale development.

He takes it upon himself to “operate prudently, focus on the real economy, generate more tax revenue for the country, create more job opportunities for society, and strive for the common prosperity of all, while pursuing the well-being of his employees,” embodying an entrepreneur’s strong commitment to career advancement, social responsibility, and deep-seated patriotism.

In the future, the Yongning’er Group led by Li Yongshui will “embrace high-quality development, increase investment in scientific research, promote lean production across the entire industrial chain, and accelerate the construction of digital factories; integrate and upgrade its marketing system, continuously develop international markets, and expand overseas along the ‘Belt and Road’ initiative.” The group will strive to build itself into an industry leader that enjoys a prominent position, boasts strong corporate capabilities, and sets new standards in management.

Chairman Li Yongshui’s entrepreneurial journey, his dynamic practice of leading the company to continuous growth, and his inspiring story of hard work have received high recognition from the Zhejiang Provincial Textile Industry Association and the leaders of Zhejiang’s “Three Associations” (the Enterprise Federation, the Entrepreneurs Association, and the Industrial Economy Federation). Following on-site inspections and evaluations, he was unanimously selected as the “22nd Outstanding Entrepreneur of Zhejiang Province.”
