The cultural charm of Tokyo, the modern vibrancy of Ginza, and the breathtaking beauty of Mount Fuji left a deep impression on the study tour group as they not only savored the unique flavors of a foreign land but also gained profound insights into Japan’s stringent environmental protection measures, rational spatial planning, efficient resource utilization, and clean, civilized urban landscape.
The study tour group visited the Panasonic Memorial Museum, the Toyota Motor Corporation Exhibition Hall, the Toyota Textile Museum, and Kyocera Corporation—leading Japanese companies that have risen rapidly and gained worldwide acclaim since World War II. A common thread behind their success is this: the founders of these companies were exceptionally dedicated; the companies placed great emphasis on R&D and innovation; they used resources efficiently and sparingly; their management was meticulous and standardized; they maintained a cost leadership position; and they delivered first-class quality and service.

Through their visit to the Panasonic Memorial Museum, all participants gained the profound realization that running a successful enterprise is not merely about generating profits—it’s even more important to create value for society and to cultivate a sense of reverence and gratitude toward all things. At the Toyota Exhibition Hall, the evolution and development of Toyota Corporation were showcased in great detail. By examining the exhibits—including physical objects, photographs, written materials, and audiovisual historical records—each member of the study tour group developed a deeper understanding of the core principles of lean thinking and “lean production.” Lean production involves eliminating all forms of waste, maximizing production efficiency, and optimizing quality. It serves as the guiding principle for on-site enterprise management and represents both the origin and foundation of management in manufacturing enterprises.
At the Inamori Kazuo Memorial Hall of Kyocera Corporation, the trainees held deep admiration for Mr. Inamori Kazuo’s management philosophy and his values of “revering heaven and loving people.” As the “Saint of Japanese Management” who was deeply versed in traditional Chinese Confucian culture, Inamori Kazuo’s management philosophy and methods—including his “altruistic heart, passion for work, earnest and diligent effort, genuine courage, emphasis on experience, alignment of direction, prioritizing thrift, practicing on-site management, never giving up until success is achieved, and the five-step work instruction method”—left the trainees thoroughly impressed and profoundly inspired.
